A nice evening walk in Amsterdam =)
There are canals EVERYWHERE!!!
Wouldn't want to swim in the water, but pretty to look at!
There are bikes EVERYWHERE in Amsterdam! The yellow ones are rentals
A nice little cafe
This little street is FULL of tourists!! There are so many stores on this street that we have back home - H&M, Claires, McDonalds, Mexx, Espirit. They also have the fancy ones like Chanel and Gucci ;)
This is Central Station (Centraal). You know what I've noticed? A lot of the Dutch language sounds really really similar to English. Many words sound the same as the English word, but with a little accent (although they're often spelled completely different). A lot of Dutch words have a "hggrck" sound (really hard to type this sound) - much like how Spanish has a lot of "rolling r's", Dutch have a "hggrck" sound. Also, all the street names are so long - like Kattenburgerstraat and Wittenburgergracht. The street my hostel is on is Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. Can anyone please pronounce that for me?
The canals
The little restaurant I had dinner in.
Inside the restaurant. I had a cheeseburger and "frits" (fries) with a coca-cola. It came to 12,20 euro.
