Making footprints in A'dam

Warm, sunny weather. No rain - first day in a while that for the entire day, Amsterdam didn't have any rain!!! Nice day for a walk =)

Jaewoo and I walked for the entire afternoon! We started out looking to buy bikes, now that we have an apartment and a relatively safe place to lock them up at night. We began our search at Waterlooplein. We didn't find bikes for sale, however we found a guy in a boat playing some sort of musical instrument built into his boat and a trumpet. Check out his website here.

Then we headed to the North Eastern part of Amsterdam. We saw some wicked buildings. Very unique architecture.

Borneo Sporenburg Housing Project. In first year for our final project in studio we had a similar project. We were each given one lot to design a townhouse and when the different projects were put together side by side, a unique contrast of styles emerged to create a beautiful collaboration of facades. The Borneo Sporenburg Housing Project was the project that our studio was based off of. Each house is the same size, yet is designed by a different architect. What a variety of approaches the architects each took!

I love how each house here is different :) And there are canals everywhere!! So pretty!

NEMO Museum from afar. We walked to the top where they have a cafe. We sat down for a bit and enjoyed the view.
